Let's see what's recently opened for the season or is opening soon, so you can begin planning your next gaycation.
The Ogunquit Playhouse
The Ogunquit Playhouse begins its summer line-up May 15th and it hits the ground running with Jersey Boys. Catch the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons while you're in town. This award-winning show isn't just for Broadway anymore.
Cove Cafe opened for the 2019 summer season on May 4th. Located on Perkins Cove Road, this cozy little family-owned café serves breakfast only every day straight through October.
Beach Plum Lobster Farm
Beach Plum Lobster Farm is scheduled to reopen May 11th. This is not a restaurant but if you plan to cook like you never get to cook at home, lobster and clams can be packed live or cooked for you to take with you. This husband and wife team have been in the seafood industry since 1995 and they're located on Main St.
Finestkind Scenic Cruises
Finestkind Scenic Cruises is operating weekends only through Memorial Day, but their regular hours begin for the season 10 am to 5:30pm through June. July and August they are open 8am to 8pm. Tours depart from Barnacle Billy's restaurant in Perkins Cove. Take a coastal tour or a relaxing night excursion with drinks. There's even a sailboat tour for the adventurer.
Barnacle Billy's, you had to see that coming, opened for the season on April 12th and will close the day of the high heel race for Ogunquitfest, October 27th. Opens daily at 11am. Enjoy quality seafood that has been celebrated for over 50 years. Enjoy lobster, steamed clams, or maybe just drinks while sitting outside with the view of the harbor and ocean.
Of course, while Main Beach, Footbridge Beach, and North Beach are open year round- there is only one solitary business due to the remote location of the beaches. Norseman Resort opened in late March and features a restaurant and a retail store. Splash is an outdoor restaurant which offers lunch and dinner. Shopping is available at the Beach Store. Rentals, swimwear, and souvenirs can be found here. And of course, the resort itself has views that no other resort in Ogunquit has. Its unique location on the 3 and a half miles of Ogunquit's famous beaches makes it a remarkable place to stay. There's more going on in Ogunquit! Come see for yourself.
